Welcome to Bay view golf club

Enjoy our views of the Bay Area skyline on the front and the Milpitas valley on the back. Playing on our rolling fairways and breaking greens is challenging, and a true test for even the highly skilled players.

PAR 72 (B 6580/W 6042/R 5294)

  • Poa Bent Greens

Our poa bent greens have fine blades of grass which makes them smooth and fast. Play more break with some of our aggressive slopes and challenging breaks. We appreciate repairing your ball marks to help keep our greens rolling smoothly.

    Current stimpmeter rating=9

  • Bermuda Rye Fairways

Our striped fairways makes iron shots feel pure. Players will be tested with plenty of uneven lies and elevation changes throughout the course. We kindly ask that you fill your divots to keep our course in great condition.

Front Nine Par 36 (B3253/W3019/R2582/Y2319)

  • Hole 1 The Farm (322/300/273/271)

A short downhill par four. Long hitters may be able to reach the green in one. However, only an iron is needed off this starting tee to set yourself up for an easy approach shot. Say hello to the horses and dogs next door. You may also be welcomed by our neighbors’ cats wanting to watch and join your group here.

    Green Depth=24 Handicap=15

  • Hole 2 Incline (528/483/448/392)

A long uphill par five. Play your drive down the left side of the fairway to set up your second shot. This three-tired green is not visible from the fairway, so adjust your distance.

    Green Depth=30 Handicap=3

  • Hole 3 Putts (122/117/107/102)

A short par three which is harder than it looks while on the tee box. Keep the ball below the pin on this sloped green, as downhill putts can add multiple unwanted strokes. Three putts are common to finish this hole.

    Green Depth=28 Handicap=17

  • Hole 4 Lean (367/342/267/210)

Play your drive to the right on this difficult hole. From the back tees your tee shot will hit the sloped ‘leanin’ fairway and feed balls to the bottom of the hill. From our front tees you may be able to drive this green, or hit an iron setting up a second shot to an elevated green that slopes back right to front left.

    Green Depth=25 Handicap=5

  • Hole 5 The View (183/175/122/119)

A downhill par three with a wide green protected by bunkers on the left and the front. The elevated tee and wind should cause you to use one less club here.

    Green Depth=22 Handicap=7

  • Hole 6 Tread The Needle (454/375/274/274)

A downhill par four. Balls will feed down the hill into the fairway, setting up a short approach shot. This deceptive green slopes away from the fairway towards the back-left.

    Green Depth=24 Handicap=11

  • Hole 7 Lake Side (338/329/246/246)

A short par four with a lake hugging down the left side of the fairway. Second shot will be to a slightly elevated green.

    Green Depth=29 Handicap=9

  • Hole 8 Up The Bend (401/393/383/246)

Our hardest hole on the course. Play a draw off the tee. Your long second shot plays to a green protected by two bunkers and a false front. Be sure to hit your approach shot to the top tier. Good luck!

    Green Depth=31 Handicap=1

  • Hole 9 Gyre's Landing (515/505/462/459)

A downhill dogleg right par five. Long hitters should be able to reach this green in two shots. Aim your drive at the clubhouse to cut the corner. The left side of the green falls off towards the cart path, so aim your approach shot right of the pin. Don’t forget to order food from Gyre’s restaurant from your cart to have it picked up at the turn: https://gyre.restaurant/

    Green Depth=31 Handicap=13

Back Nine Par 36 (B3327/W3023/R2712)

  • Hole 10 Lift Off (358/346/330)

Big hitters YOLO it over the lake and go for it! The rest of you aim left of the willow tree at the corner of the lake. Your approach shot will be to an elevated green, which slopes from back to front.

    Green Depth=24 Handicap=8

  • Hole 11 Canyon Lake (329/322/310)

The lake is not visible from the tee box, but it is reachable. Play an iron off the tee to the left side of the fairway. Watch out for the large tree protecting the right side of the green.

    Green Depth=33 Handicap=16

  • Hole 12 Twitch (364/352/329)

The hardest hole on the back, this par four has a left to right sloping fairway. A creek runs down the right side of the entire hole. The green slopes hard from back to front. If you’re having a hard day after playing holes three, four, and eight, you may be able to last one final body twitch of frustration after twelve. We feel you!

    Green Depth=32 Handicap=2

  • Hole 13 Foothills Nightmare (154/143/112)

A short par three with a green sloping from back-left to front-right. Walkers stay on the cart path or we may have to leave the pro shop to pull you out of the ground.

    Green Depth=22 Handicap=18

  • Hole 14 Big M (574/488/458)

A monster drive from the tips will still be a three-shot hole, but a reachable par five from the forward tee boxes. Be careful of the lake guarding the right side next to the cart path, which runs all the way up towards the green.

    Green Depth=24 Handicap=14

  • Hole 15 Canyon's Corner (540/498/438)

This three-shot par five will need a solid drive and a second shot that will tempt you to reach in two. The smart move here is to set up your third shot to avoid trouble around the green. Birdie is calling here.

    Green Depth=31 Handicap=12

  • Hole 16 Drop Zone (199/178/122)

This downhill par three might be the most difficult on the course. A tee shot from elevated tees and cross wind can make this shot harder in the afternoons. Watch your shot fly forever here!

    Green Depth=25 Handicap=6

  • Hole 17 Fairway Meadows (388/381/291)

This par four has a narrow tee shot to an open and wide, flat fairway. This is one of the best walking fairways on the course with a creek running down the right side. Your approach shot is to a slightly elevated green.

    Green Depth=31 Handicap=10

  • Hole 18 Loyal Finish (398/348/322)

This beautiful finishing hole provides a challenge to complete your round with the lake on the right side. Your tee shot should favor the left side. The green is protected by bunkers on the left, front, and back.

    Green Depth=26 Handicap=4
